Presidential bid

well its never to early to start paying attention and that is certainly true for 2012. Jimmy McMillan of The Rent Is To Damn High Party is apparently running for President under the republican banner. other more mainstream Republican candidates include vehement antiabortion activist and radio talk show host Herman Cain and long shot gay rights activist/ political consultant, Fred Karger. As for the Democrats well I think I can assume Obama will be running and interestingly enough infamous anti abortion activist Randal Terry will also be running though according to him it's not so he can win as he said "I am under no delusion that I can win." it seems that he wants to use this opportunity to force TV station to air his anti abortion ads. all in all 2012 seems like it will be a tumultuous year

  2. So far, it seems that the Republican candidates running are all very extreme, or even Tea Party representatives. This proves a silver lining to the fact that they even exist, as at the end of the day Americans don't vote extremists into office. In order to win the election, the politician must attract the middle of America, something I don't believe wackos/fundamentalists can do.

  3. even so the middle of america will have to vote one way or another and while they may not agree with the extremists' opinions and policies they will still have to choose the extremist whose views are most similar to theirs and all people inevitably lean in one direction or the other (right or left)

  4. also the american people don't really make the final decision as to who will be president. That responsibility lies with the electoral college so i think the 2012 elections will, at least at the republican end of things, need to involve a lot of political maneuvering in Washington and such.
